The interim government has allocated a 5% quota in public school admissions for children of those injured or killed in the July-August 2024 uprising. The Directorate of Secondary and Higher Education issued an official order on February 20, which was published on March 2.School and college principals have been instructed to implement the order, ensuring that children of freedom fighters and victims of the uprising receive priority admission. Applicants must submit verified copies of relevant certificates or gazettes, with original documents required during admission. The verification process will involve confirmation from the Ministry of Liberation War Affairs or official gazettes. If eligible applicants are unavailable, the seats will be filled from the merit list, and no seats will remain vacant.
