While Hasnat perceived the Army Chief’s statements as a proposal, Sergis viewed them as an opinion rather than pressure. He acknowledged discussions on Awami League’s political future but argued that Hasnat’s account exaggerated the tone. Sergis also criticized Hasnat’s decision to publicly share the conversation, warning it could impact future political dialogues.
