By The Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) is set to meet Chief Advisor Dr. Muhammad Yunus on April 16 to seek clarity on the government’s stance regarding the upcoming national election. The meeting, scheduled for 12 PM at the state guest house Jamuna, was confirmed by BNP Standing Committee member Salahuddin Ahmed. Earlier, the party held an internal meeting at the Chairperson’s office in Gulshan. BNP has requested a clear roadmap to resolve confusion surrounding the election process. Salahuddin emphasized the need for specific guidelines from the government and reiterated BNP’s demand to restore the constitutional structure prior to the 15th amendment. He clarified that while BNP supports reinstating balance in state power, it does not propose removing secularism. The party aims to convey its desire for elections by December and understand the government’s actual intentions.
