Inspired by the excitement surrounding Hamza Choudhury, two more diaspora footballers—Elman Matin from England and Abdul Kader from Italy—have joined Bangladesh’s U-19 training camp for the upcoming SAFF U-19 Championship. Scheduled for May 9–18 in Arunachal, India, the players began training at Dhanmondi Club before moving to the residential camp at Kamalapur Stadium. Kader plays in Italy’s fourth-tier league, while Matin is part of a youth team in England’s third tier. Though the BFF technical staff have not commented, coaches reportedly appreciated the players’ technical skills. As the weather in Arunachal is expected to be milder, adaptation should be easier. BFF may also call for a trial in June to scout more diaspora talents interested in representing Bangladesh.
