Young & Latham’s Twin Centuries Propel New Zealand to 321 Against Pakistan

New Zealand set a challenging 321-run target for Pakistan in the opening match of the ninth ICC Champions Trophy, thanks to brilliant centuries from Will Young and Tom Latham. Winning the toss, Pakistan opted to bowl at Karachi’s National Stadium. The Kiwis struggled initially, losing Devon Conway (10), Kane Williamson (0), and Daryl Mitchell (10) within 73 runs. However, Young and Latham steadied the innings with a 118-run stand. Young scored 107 off 12 fours and a six before falling to Naseem Shah. Latham continued his assault, forging another century partnership with Glenn Phillips (61). Latham remained unbeaten on 118 as New Zealand finished at 320/5. For Pakistan, Naseem Shah and Haris Rauf took two wickets each, while Abrar Ahmed claimed one.
