Bangladesh Meteorological Department Predicts Eid-ul-Fitr on March 31 or April 1

Eid-ul-Fitr in Bangladesh is expected to be observed on either March 31 (Monday) or April 1 (Tuesday), depending on the sighting of the Shawwal moon. According to the Bangladesh Meteorological Department, Ramadan is likely to last 29 days, making Eid on March 31. However, if Ramadan extends to 30 days, Eid will fall on April 1. The department states that the new moon is expected to be visible on March 30 between 6:32 PM and 7:20 PM. If sighted, Eid will be on March 31. The moon’s age on March 30 will be around 1.05 days, making it potentially visible to the naked eye. The final decision will be made by the National Moon Sighting Committee.
