A Dhaka court has granted a four-day remand for Salman F Rahman, Anisul Huq, Zunaid Ahmed Palak, and Shamsher Mobin Chowdhury in connection with the murder of Md Parvez Mia. Parvez was shot during the Anti-Discrimination movement in Jatrabari on August 5 and later died at Dhaka Medical College Hospital. The case was filed by his mother, Kanis Fatema, on October 29. On Monday, Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate GM Farhan Ishtiaq approved the remand after a hearing where the prosecution sought 10 days, while the defense argued for bail. The accused allegedly fired the fatal shots at Parvez during the protest.
